Actively supporting the arts in Elk Rapids, Michigan

Art Rapids is a nonprofit organization founded in 2006 by a group of passionate individuals to organize a juried art fair. Since then, the organization has evolved to sponsor the Walk of Art, Concerts in the Park, Summer Art Camps, and art education opportunities for adults and youth.

Discover the beautiful Day Park, spanning 15 acres of forest, dunes, and a quarter mile of beachfront along East Grand Traverse Bay. Complete with amenities like public restrooms, a handicap-accessible picnic pavilion, foot trails, and picturesque picnic sites equipped with charcoal grills and tables; this park is a true gem.

The Walk of Art has become a haven for artists to showcase and sell their work while offering a unique art experience for visitors. The outdoor gallery opened in May 2013 with six sculptures and has expanded to 30+ in 2023. The art park also provides a platform for art education opportunities for both adults and youth.

Immerse yourself in the diverse presentation of art while enjoying the natural forest surroundings. Dogs on leashes are welcome at the park.

Walk of Art Sculpture Park

Each summer, Art Rapids hosts musicians in the park for free concerts (donations to Art Rapids are always welcome)! Come early, bring a picnic and enjoy the beautiful park before the concert.

In addition to the free concert series, we also host a variety of programs for all to enjoy.
