The History of Art Rapids.
Art Rapids has been a driving force in supporting the arts in Elk Rapids, Michigan, since its founding in 2006. It began with a juried art fair in Veterans' Memorial Park and has since expanded its offerings.
In 2017-2018, Art Rapids hosted a 14-day juried art exhibit in 35 local venues, giving birth to EXPERIENCE ART RAPIDS. This annual event showcases diverse cultural experiences in the community. In 2019 Art Rapids included a Film Festival.
In 2019, EXPERIENCE ART RAPIDS: FILMS was introduced, and in 2022, the Walk of Art Concert Series returned, featuring memorable performances by Judy Harrison, Rachael Davis, and Switchback.
Art Rapids continues to foster a vibrant arts scene in Elk Rapids, providing engaging experiences that bring our community together.
